From Belgium on the foot in Medjugorje

Medjugorje – A group of eight pilgrims arrived in Medjugorje on Monday 16th May 2011. walking from Belgium. The leader of the route was Marko Pinčić, who in an interview for the radio station Mir Medjugorje, together with his wife Yvonne Lespagnard talked about this unusual venture. Marko was born in Zadar, married with Yvonne from Belgium for many years and he is living with his family in Belgium.

After conversation with his wife and several others they decided to take a pilgrimage. Among these eight pilgrims is a gentleman aged 84, and the nurse who cared for them during the journey. Marko, among other things, said: “We decided to go 500 miles per year, and traveled for three years. After the break they again will return to the origin in Belgium. This year we have ended the journey and we counted that we had walked about two thousand kilometers. ” Yvonne said that this was a pilgrimage and a friendly journey for her:” Us eight in this journey were a small family, and never had any problems. We tried hard to all arrive together. After this experience we would like to encourage others and to help them do the same. Now we know the way. “Marko and Yvonne said that people have been regularly surprised when they saw that they were older age. Everywhere they were warmly received; in Austria, Slovenia, Italy, Germany, Croatia. They will never forget the hospitality. They even mentioned that they got lost in a forest in Slovenia, but with the help of Our Lady, as they say, once again found a way.

In Medjugorje, they were met by family members on behalf of the Franciscans received by the Miljenko stack, Director of the Information Center. They will be kept for several days in prayer, and then go with the airplane back to Belgium.
